Kent General Hospital

Bayhealth Medical Center formed in January 1997 when Kent General Hospital, founded in 1927, and Milford Memorial Hospital, founded in 193 8, merged to create a not-forprofit healthcare system dedicated to providing high quality care to the community.

Also comprised of the Middletown Medical Center and many satellite facilities, Bayhealth is Delaware's second-largest healthcare system, with over 2,700 employees and 354 physicians - 92 percent of whom are board-certified or board-eligible. A member of Premier, Inc., Bayhealth is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Our committed staffs of employees, physicians and volunteers work together everyday to deliver our mission: to improve the health status of all members of the communities within Bayhealth's service area.
